The vaccination rate in Germany has taken a hit due to the hoarding of COVID-19 vaccines by a number of countries and the pause of Johnson and Johnson vaccine campaigns after rare blood clotting cases emerged. The UK and the U.S. have been stockpiling COVID-19 vaccines adding to a global shortage of the jabs which has also caused a decline in the rate of inoculations in Germany.
