Russia wants to ban members of so-called "extremist" organisations from being elected lawmakers – including members of Alexei Navalny's organisation. The opposition leader, who has been in prison since his return to Russia in January this year, ran the Anti-Corruption Foundation, which is currently the subject of court proceedings in the country.
