Mucormycosis, a rare and potentially deadly disease known as black fungus, has been soaring amid the coronavirus pandemic, with over 8,800 cases reported in India. ENT Surgeon Dr S. Mohamed Siddique of the Rajeev Gandhi Govt General Hospital discussed the spike in cases in an interview in Chennai, on Sunday.
