Liam Payne has opened up about his struggles with addiction and mental health and admitted to having ‘moments of suicidal ideation’.
Payne revealed that his time in One Direction was filled with ‘pills and booze’ and he was happy when the band ended as he believes that it would have killed him.
He told the podcast ‘The Diary of a CEO’: “It would be car, hotel room, stage, sing, locked. So it looked like they pulled the dust cloth off and let us out for a minute and then back underneath it.”
He also revealed that he has been sober for ‘just over a month’ and confirmed that he has ended his engagement to Maya Henry after 10 months.
