Christian Eriksen has said he is ‘fine under the circumstances’ in his first social media update since suffering a cardiac arrest on the pitch at Euro 2020.
The 29-year-old Denmark midfielder posted a photo of himself from his hospital bed on Instagram along with a message for fans. "I'm fine – under the circumstances. I still have to go through some examinations at the hospital, but I feel okay.”
Eriksen collapsed to the ground in Saturday’s game against Finland and was resuscitated by medics on the pitch.
