Dame Joan Collins says she has ‘no regrets’ over having an abortion in her twenties, saying it would have been ‘the death of my career’.
The actress, now 88, who was engaged to actor Warren Beatty at the time, opens her heart during an interview on Piers Morgan‘s Life Stories.
She tells how she unexpectedly fell pregnant: “I had an abortion. It would have been the death of my career, and I was by then 26.
“I was a feminist before the word was heard and I shall do what I felt was right for me.”
Asked by Morgan if she had a ‘tinge of regret’, she emphatically replied: “No, not one.”
