Meet the 15-year-old diving wonderkid about to make a huge splash at the Olympics.
Oleksiy Sereda from Ukraine is already the youngest ever European diving champion at the age of 13 years and seven months, but his focus is now on Tokyo where the Games begin on Friday.
Sereda specialises in the 10-metre platform and also competes in the synchronised event with partner Oleh Serbin.
The grounded teenager has had to juggle schoolwork with his rigorous training schedule and while his performances have attracted a lot of attention he simply says he’s aiming to put in ‘a good performance’.
