First the Oprah interview, now the explosive memoir. And for those hoping a royal reconciliation was on the cards, Prince Harry has just dealt a real hammer blow.
The want-away royal has been secretly writing a memoir for nearly a year and has sold it to Penguin Random House.
Working with Pulitzer-winning author J R Moehringer, who has previously written memoirs for tennis legend Andre Agassi and Nike co-founder Phil Knight, the book is expected to send yet more shockwaves through the royal family as Harry promises ‘a first-hand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful’.
“I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become,” he said in a statement after the news broke. “I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story— the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.”
