Bill Gates has spoken for the first time about his divorce and his controversial relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
The Microsoft founder told CNN that his split with Melinda was a ‘very sad milestone’ and a source of ‘great personal sadness’, but vowed they would continue their philanthropy work together for the Bill and Melinda gates Foundation, praising his ex-wife’s ‘incredible strengths’.
Of the billionaire sex offender Epstein, he said: “It was a huge mistake to spend time with him, to give him the credibility.
“I had several dinners with him hoping that what he said about getting billions of philanthropy for global health through contacts he had might emerge. When it looked like that wasn’t a real thing that relationship ended.”
