Actress Rose McGowan has called out author and TV producer Oprah Winfrey in a tweet saying that she is ‘as fake as they come’.
The 47-year-old #MeToo activist posted a 2014 picture of the chat show host kissing disgraced Harvey Weinstein tenderly on the cheek.
McGowan said she is ‘glad’ that people are seeing ‘the ugly truth’ about Winfrey, referencing her past friendships with Weinstein and Russell Simmons, both of whom have been accused of sexual misconduct.
McGowan went on to claim that Winfrey ‘is about supporting a sick power structure for personal gain’. This comes after an old interview Winfrey did with country music legend Dolly Parton recently went viral on social media, with users suggesting Winfrey set out to embarrass the singer.
