Olivia Colman paid tribute to her late father following her Emmy Award win.
The actress, 47, won for Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix’s The Crown.
After giving a series of thank yous, she became emotional as she then spoke about her father, Keith, who she revealed had died during the pandemic.
She said: “I’m going to be very quick because I’m very teary. I wish my dad was here to see this. I lost my daddy during Covid and he would have loved all this.”
It was her first Emmy win from four nominations.
