Nicole Kidman has given a rare insight into her former marriage to Tom Cruise.
The actress, 54, contended she played a part in the media scrutiny in the 90s which eventually took away attention from her career.
She told Harper’s Bazaar: “I was young. I think I offered it up?”
“Maybe I’ve gotten a bit more trepidatious, but I’m always trying to be as open as possible. I just prefer to live that way.”
The former Hollywood couple were together from 1990 until 2001 and share two adopted children together.
Kidman is now married to singer Keith Urban with whom she shares two daughters.
