Linda Evangelista, one of the most famous and in-demand supermodels of the 1990s, has opened up about why she has disappeared from the public eye in recent years.
Taking to Instagram, the 56-year-old Canadian, said that she had been left “permanently deformed” after undergoing a fat freezing procedure that went wrong.
She told her followers: “I have developed Paradocial Adipose Hyperplasia. It has not only destroyed my livelihood, it has sent me into a cycle of deep depression, profound sadness and the lowest depths of self-loathing. In the process I have become a recluse.”
