Global Citizen Live raised over $1.1 billion in commitments and pledges to help fight poverty.
The 24-hour concert featured several high-profile celebrities such as Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Lopez, Elton John and BTS and was broadcast from locations on six continents, including Central Park in New York and in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Thanks to pleas from Prince Harry and Meghan, the concert also received pledges for millions of Covid-19 vaccines for developing countries.
“It is wrong that so much of the vaccine supply has only gone to just 10 wealthy nations so far, and not everyone else,” said Meghan.
Other celebrities who took part in the event include Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Finneas, Lizzo, Måneskin and Kylie Minogue.
