International Monetary Fund (IMF) Chief Economist Gita Gopinath has called for closer China-U.S. cooperation to achieve a better form of globalization. The IMF on Tuesday released its latest World Economic Outlook (WEO) which projected the Chinese economic would grow by 8.0 percent this year, down by 0.1 percentage point from July's forecast. The slight downward revision reflects stronger-than-anticipated scaling back of public investment, the report showed.
