Chinese professor of horticulture at Zhejiang University Ye Ming'er was honored as a "Food Hero" by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations on Friday. Speaking at a celebratory event one day ahead of World Food Day in Rome, Italy, FAO director-general Qu Dongyu noted people's unswerving faith and strength he had witnessed over the past year amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
