India witnessed a devastating second wave earlier this year off the back of state elections, religious festivals and Covid-19 fatigue in people. As the country sees rising case numbers of the highly contagious Omicron variant, experts say there could be a repeat of the catastrophe ahead if the lessons learned from the second wave aren't implemented.
