The United Nations on Wednesday confirmed three deaths and multiple injuries following the volcano eruption in Tonga over the weekend. Briefing reporters on the situation in Tonga on Wednesday at UN Headquarters, UN Spokesman Stephane Dujarric said that "about 84,000 people, that's more than 80 percent of the population, have been impacted by the disaster, with three confirmed fatalities to date, injuries have also been reported.
