Baidoa (Somalia) (AFP) – Over the past decade, Baidoa has grown accustomed to large population influxes. The majority of its population are displaced. Desperate, hungry and thirsty, more and more people are flocking to the city from the countryside of southern Somalia, one of the regions hardest hit by the drought that is engulfing the Horn of Africa.
