Igor Konashenkov, spokesperson for the Russian Defence Ministry, says that Russia conducted a landing operation near Hostomel airfield on the outskirts of Kyiv, blockading the Ukrainian capital from the west. According to Konashenkov "over 200 nationalists from Ukraine's special units were eliminated during the operation.
