Boland (AFP) – Trained dogs are being used in South Africa to help locate and then track a critically endangered species of tortoise. “I think it is actually incredible that we can use domestic animals to help save wild animals,” says Esther Matthew, dog handler at the Endangered Wildlife Trust.
