Doha (AFP) – United Nations secretary-general Antonio Guterres calls for a halt to the violence in Sudan and warns that the crisis caused by the country’s civil war is rapidly worsening. Addressing reporters on the sidelines of the Second World Summit for Social Development in Doha, the UN chief also warns against “the continued violations” of the ceasefire in Gaza that halted two years of devastating war in the Palestinian territory.
