Aboard the Papal Plane (AFP) – Pope Leo XIV says he has “no response” to Donald Trump, after the US president criticised him over his comments on the US-Iran war, answering reporters aboard the papal plane as they head to Algeria for the pontiff’s first visit to Africa as head of the Catholic church. “I believe that the Church has a moral duty to speak out very clearly against war and in favour of peace and reconciliation”, he says.
