Chachapoyas (Peru) (AFP) – A group of Peruvian archaeologists unearths a U-shaped tomb containing the remains of five people and ceremonial offerings dating back 600 years at the pre-Hispanic fortress of Kuelap. It is the first systematic excavation carried out at one of the access areas to the monumental complex, located in Peru’s Amazonas region.
