Teheran (AFP) – Preparations for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s funeral are underway in the Iranian capital Tehran, as banners hang from buildings and gardeners arrange plants near the city’s vast Grand Mosalla complex. The body of Iran’s late supreme leader is due to lie in state from 4 July, after he was killed in US-Israeli strikes on 28 February.
