Vatican City (AFP) – Pope Leo XIV tells crowds gathered for the Sunday Angelus prayer in St. Peter’s Square that doctors had recently discovered an early-stage, localised lung nodule during medical examinations and that he will undergo surgery in the coming days to have it removed. The pontiff says the nodule was detected at a very early stage and is very localised.
