Paris (France) (AFP) – In the Les Halles district of Paris, residents are pushing back against a newly imposed nighttime curfew in parts of the capital. “Why a curfew?” asks Gisela Restrepo, a film editor. “And why punish the people who live in the neighbourhood because of a few individuals who keep smashing things up?” It comes after a weekend of demonstrations over the cost of living degenerated into riots.
