Orléans (France) (AFP) – Demonstrators, trade union representatives and certain elected representatives are in Orleans, France, to march alongside thousands of people against the National Rally congress, on the eve of Marine Le Pen’s first major campaign rally in the Loiret department. “Young people are getting beaten, students are left struggling time and again, and the one-euro meals don’t work; there are so many things that no longer work” says one demonstrator. The protest comes after a shooting in Trappes, France, on October 23, 2026, which President Emmanuel Macron branded a “racist terrorist attack”, as most of the victims were from foreign backgrounds.
