Vatican City (AFP) – Pope Leo XIV appeals for an end to the conflict in Yemen, voicing concern over the country’s worsening humanitarian situation and calling for people across the region to be allowed to live in peace. Speaking after the Angelus prayer in St Peter’s Square, he also offers prayers for the victims of a deadly attack on worshippers at an Orthodox church in Jordan, expressing solidarity with a country he praised for its tradition of peaceful coexistence between faiths.
