Rome (AFP) – As thousands of students and workers take to the streets in Rome to call for more school funding and relief from the soaring cost of living, protesters describe various grievances ranging from unsafe school buildings to low pensions. “It’s unacceptable that citizens are not being heard,” says Samara Saman, 30. “We must speak out against what’s wrong.”
