Iranians at a pro-government rally marking the anniversary of the 1979 Iran hostage crisis say “there is no difference” after midterm elections dealt a blow to President Donald Trump, but express “a certain satisfaction” in having turned voters against him by closing the Strait of Hormuz and driving up oil prices. “I don’t feel good about it,” says one participant, “but there is nothing we can do but put some pressure on their governments by making their own people feel the consequences.”
