Buenos Aires (Argentine) (AFP) – International Monetary Fund (IMF) managing director Kristalina Georgieva arrives at Argentina’s Ministry of Economy, in Buenos Aires, for talks with President Javier Milei and senior economic officials, including Economy Minister Luis Caputo, Central Bank director Santiago Bausili and experts from the business world and academia. The Washington-based institution has repeatedly voiced support for president Javer Milei, who took office with promises to revive the economy by slashing public spending and reining in inflation.
