Malaysia went into a two-week nationwide lockdown on Tuesday, with only essential businesses and sectors allowed to operate on a limited basis, as the country struggles to curb a surge of COVID-19 cases and deaths. The country registered 7,105 new daily infections on Tuesday, bringing the total tally to 579,462.
