Harry Maguire has spoken of a 'magnificent victory and big celebration in the end' as England brought to an end the 55-year wait to overcome Germany in a major knock-out tournament.
Maguire was one of many strong performers on a night which finally put the ghosts of Euro 96 to rest, when now manager Gareth Southgate had his vital penalty saved to gift the Germans victory in the semi-final.
Maguire spoke of Southgate’s strong leadership but pointed out there’s still a long way to go, starting in Rome in Saturday against the Ukraine.
