Former Good Morning Britain Piers Morgan is never one to pull his punches but his latest social media rant could see him on the end of one.
Morgan lit the fuse by suggesting only gold medals deserve to be celebrated. “Real sporting champions don’t celebrate coming 3rd,” he tweeted.
Among those he riled was former professional boxer and three-time Olympian Paddy Barnes, who replied: “Piers, ill fight you for my Bronze medals.”
The Irish athlete won bronze in both Beijing in 2008 and London 2012 in the light-flyweight division.
