Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman are reuniting on screen for a ‘twisted’ new thriller set in a retirement home.
Described as a stylish reinvention of the film noir genre, the title for the new flick will be, erm, Sniff.
Al Pacino and Danny DeVito have also been tapped to star with Mirren’s husband, Taylor Hackford, serving as director.
According to Deadline, the plot will see Freeman and DeVito’s characters as unlikely detective partners after two mysterious deaths send shockwaves through a luxury retirement community known as SNIFF (Senior Nursing Institute and Family Foundation).
The film is expected to be released late 2022.
Mirren and Morgan previously starred together in 2010’s RED and again in 2018’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.
