Piers Morgan was delighted after winning a best presenter award.
He may have lost out to Ant and Dec at the National Television Awards last week, but he has made up for it by scooping Best News Presenter at the Tric awards.
The former Good Morning Britain presenter, 56, had been up against his former co-star Susanna Reid and BBC news anchor Huw Edwards for the accolade.
Taking to Twitter afterwards, he shared a photo of him clutching his new silverware and flashing the V sign.
“Victory!” he told his followers.
