Bryce Dallas Howard has been tapped to direct the remake of cult sci-fi classic Flight of the Navigator.
Howard, 40, will also produce this female-led retelling of the 1986 kids adventure movie for Disney+.
The original plot focused on a 12-year-old boy who after being abducted by a UFO, returns eight years later as the same age and with no memory of what happened. This soon sparks the interest of NASA who go after him. He must unravel the intergalactic mystery while trying to reunite with his family.
