Dramatic footage shows a cloud of dense smoke engulfing the bell tower of a church before it collapses.
The church on the Spanish island of La Palma has crumbled under the crushing lava flows from the Cumbre Vieja volcano that erupted a week ago.
On Friday, emergency crews pulled back from the volcano as explosions sent molten rock and ash over a wide area.
The volcano has begun spewing lava and smoke again, researchers said on Monday after activity had earlier slowed to a near halt, while some coastal villages locked down in anticipation of the lava reaching the sea.
