Washington (AFP) – “The US is prepared to send a very clear message, as are all of our European allies, that we will not tolerate any aggression against Finland or Sweden during this process,” says National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan during a White House briefing. President Joe Biden expressed strong backing for the bid by Finland and Sweden to join NATO in the face of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and offered US support in the event of “aggression” during the application process.
