The Indian government has strengthened measures against mucormycosis, with seven states declaring it an epidemic as cases soar across the country, including hundreds of deaths. The disease, also known as Black Fungus, leaves black lesions or spots. There are currently over 8,800 patients with 219 fatalities in India, said the New Delhi Television on Saturday.
