Pharping (AFP) – Nepalis in Pharping, south of the capital Kathmandu, share their views on the country’s new interim prime minister Sushila Karki, as the former chief justice chairs her first meeting with government officials, following days of deadly protests that drove her predecessor out of office. Driver Rudra Gautam says the focus should now be on “rebuilding damaged buildings”, while shopkeeper Satya Narayan says lawmakers should also “address the demands of Gen Z.”
