WHO chief calls for efforts to vaccinate at least 10 percent of world's population by September

World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Monday called on member states to help vaccinate at least 10 percent of the population of every country by the end of September. In his opening remarks at the World Health Assembly, Tedros said the number of COVID-19 vaccine doses available to the WHO's COVAX program remains vastly inadequate.
