Belgrade (AFP) – Celebrations erupt in Serbia’s capital city, Belgrade, as people hail the student-backed movement deposing veteran leader Aleksandar Vucic’s party in a snap election. The parliamentary election was the culmination of nearly two years of student-led protests after the 2024 collapse of a canopy at Novi Sad railway station that killed 16 people.
