Hebron (Palestinian Territories) (AFP) – Israeli forces continue their deployment in the West Bank city of Hebron after a deadly attack by Palestinian gunmen Friday, in which two Israeli soldiers were killed at a checkpoint near the city, just days before Israeli elections. The operation, which local authorities say has displaced more than 3,000 people, raises serious concerns of “ethnic cleansing”, the United Nations has warned.
