Vienna (AFP) – A study in Vienna has found that the young offspring of a frog native to Southeast Asia could be camouflaging itself as animal poo to escape predators. Researchers have noticed that juvenile Wallace’s flying frogs display unusual colour patterns as they grow. Bright red when young, white spots appear on their backs and fade away after one year. When they have matured into adults, the flying frogs are green.
Kfar Kila (Lebanon) (AFP) – Lebanese army soldiers and peacekeepers of the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) gather along the border with Israel. Israel has traded fire with Hezbollah and allied Palestinians factions in Lebanon in recent days, although the skirmishes remain limited.
