Haitian police arrest assassination suspects

Port-au-Prince (AFP) – Haitian police announce they have arrested 18 Colombians and six Haitians in relation to the assassination of President Jovenel Moise last week. According to Haitian authorities, the 28-member hit squad burst into Moise’s family home and opened fire on him and his wife, Martine. The president was killed and his wife gravely injured. She was airlifted to a Miami hospital for treatment.

The algorithms filter down the combination of ingredients from which the experts can create flavours, which are then road-tested in the kitchen with a chef.

Havana (AFP) – Clashes between protesters and police break out across Cuba as thousands take part in rare protests against the communist regime. The anti-government rallies started spontaneously in several cities as Cuba endures its worst economic crisis in 30 years, with chronic shortages of food, electricity, and medicine. Counter-demonstrations emerged as some showed their support for the government.

Organisers expect more than 160,000 people from dozens of countries to attend, saying the event will serve as a “case study” for the industry that was hard-hit by the pandemic.
