Huge inferno after attack on fuel tanks in Bahrain

Muharraq (Bahrain) (AFP) – A huge blaze rages after an attack on fuel tanks in Bahrain that was blamed on Iran. “The blatant Iranian aggression targets fuel tanks at a facility in Muharraq Governorate,” Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior said in a post on X. The International Energy Agency warned that the Middle East war is causing the biggest oil supply shock in history, after Iran launched a new wave of attacks against Gulf energy targets. The war is now in its second week after US-Israeli strikes started the conflict on 28 February.

Erbil (Iraq) (AFP) – Kurdish rebel fighters, speaking from a base near Erbil in Iraq’s Kurdistan region that was recently hit by an Iranian drone strike, say they will return to Iran to fight the country’s leadership “when the time is right”. Since the Middle East war began with a wave of US-Israeli strikes on Iran, Tehran has repeatedly struck Kurdish militants’ positions in Iraq, accusing them of serving Western or Israeli interests.
